Many web developer face problems with IE in rendering web pages. Frustrated with it, we often hope that the whole world could just switch to other browser and forget about IE. Let me tell you why IE sucks…

1. Internet Explorer 6 is antiquated, doesn’t support key web standards, and should be phased out.
2. IE 6 devastated developers around the world.
3. We need to use hacks or workaround to overcome the problem we face in IE. (a simple search of “IE hack” in Google yield 13,000,000 results)
4. IE 6 doesn’t support PNG 24 Alpha Transparency.

5. IE has the slowest Javascript engine ever. Imagine you are running a lot of hacks of IE in Javascript.

It doesn’t mean that other browsers is 100% standard compliant. But at least they perform much faster, secure than IE. Most important, they render most of the pages in the way we want.
